Your 4-Day Morocco Itinerary
Marrakech to Ait Zitoune
Depart Marrakech toward the Atlas Mountains, passing the Lalla Takerkoust Dam and continuing across desert plateaus to Tachbibte, the starting point of the trek in the Amizmiz Valley. Meet the mule team and begin an easy hike through beautiful natural surroundings. Enjoy lunch under olive trees before continuing toward Ait Zitoune. Walking time: approximately 3.5 hours. Overnight stay in Brahim’s guesthouse at around 1,000 m.
Ait Zitoune to Ait Hamd
After breakfast, walk toward the village of Tizgui with views over the Haouz Plain. Enjoy tea with a local Berber family before continuing through the Ait Hamd Pass, discovering terraced crops and traditional mountainside villages along the way. Picnic lunch en route. Walking time: approximately 5 hours. Overnight stay in a mountain lodge.
Ait Hamd to Imin Tala
Continue along the left bank of the Amizmiz wadi and experience everyday local life, including farming and herding. Arrive in Imin Tala in the afternoon, where you can enjoy a traditional hammam and take part in bread-making with your host family. Dinner and overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Imin Tala to Marrakech via Amizmiz
Enjoy a final morning hike through the gardens and villages of the Angal Valley. Stop for lunch near Amizmiz before saying goodbye to the trekking team and returning to Marrakech. Arrival in Marrakech marks the end of the 4-day Amizmiz Valley trekking experience.
