During this Sahara desert trekking, we travel through the Draa valley green palm oases to the gateway of the desert in Zagora. Together with Bedouins and certainly with dromedaries we cross the Chegaga Desert towards the dunes of Mhamid; Where we arrive and slow down in the silence and expanse of the Sahara. Obviouslye we will experience also the sunset over the Sahara from one of the highest dunes and make out countless falling stars in the glowing firmament. At the end when we come to civilisation where we will admire the filigree craftsmanship of traditional adobe buildings in Mamid village and Ait Benhaddou.

Today upon your arrival, your guide welcomes you at the airport. Stay in a Riad/Hotel, located in the heart of the medina of the red city. Overnight in Authentic Riad in BB.
This morning we leave Marrakech early and drive on the windy road through the highest metalized pass in Morocco called Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 meters) after we cross the beautiful Draa Valley. Passing by Tazenaght, which is a city known for making carpets, to reach the great dunes of Chegaga passing through the Foumzguid palm and the drained Iriki plateau. Today we start our trekking in the Sahara desert . Stroll through a succession of small dunes in the Chegaga dunes, towards M'Hamid and Wadi Draa. Lunch in the shade of the tamarisk trees and in the dunes of Bouguerne . Camping under the stars.
After breakfast we will have a medium walk of 5 hours to get us to Wadi Naam, an area that, as its name suggests, is frequented by ostriches (= Naam ostrich), and where we will place our camp in the heart of a dune field, having dinner around a campfire after a beautiful day in the desert.
We cross the Hamada of Draa, an immense rocky area of the desert dotted with volcanic stones and on which a few Sodom apple trees grow, before crossing the dunes of Bertam. After appreciating the scenic and varied terrain we arrive at the M'Hamid camp. End of our Sahara desert trekking.
You begin the ascent of the Draa valley and drive along 200 kilometers of oasis where fig trees, pomegranates, palm trees and gardens abound, surrounded by ksours (fortified villages) with high walls. Along the way, visit a ceramic cooperative in the beautiful village of Tamgroute and have the opportunity to discover an ancient Koranic library containing beautiful manuscripts. Arrive in Ait Ben Haddou, a beautiful traditional pre-Saharan Unesco World Heritage village, to spend the night.
After breakfast, you may include a visit to the Kasbah of Ait Benhadou the Unseco World Heritage. After the guided tour of the Kasbah, you’ll continue on the track to Marrakech driving through the High Atlas Mountains over the Pass of Tizi n’Tichka via Ounila valley and kasbah of Telouat. Get inspired by the Berber Village that built-in adobe and stones with its panoramic views. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and escort to your Riad. Overnight in Riad Sherazade or similar – bed and breakfast are included
After breakfast, and according to your flight schedule we provide a transfer to the Marrakesh airport. end of our services, have a good flight home and see you soon.
