Marrakech to Arouss via Ouzoud Waterfalls and Azilal
Depart Marrakech and travel toward the Ait Bouguemez Valley. Visit the Ouzoud Waterfalls before continuing through Azilal, the gateway to the Central High Atlas. Cross the Oughbar Pass (2,200 m) with panoramic views of the M’Goun Mountains, then descend toward the Ait Abbas Valley, passing the villages of Agouti and Arouss. After arrival at the guesthouse, enjoy a short walk through the surrounding traditional villages, including Arouss and Ait Said. Driving time: approximately 5 hours. Walking time: approximately 1 hour.
Arouss to Tabant through Ait Bouguemez Valley
Discover the Ait Bouguemez Valley, known as Morocco’s “Happy Valley,” with its traditional villages, apple and walnut orchards, mountain landscapes and warm local communities. Walk through the valley and experience the authentic rural lifestyle of the families who call this region home. Walking time: approximately 4 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Tabant to Ait Hkem via R’bat
Begin the day in Tabant and visit the famous dinosaur footprints, a highlight for children and families. Continue toward the nearby village of R’bat before climbing Adazen Mountain for panoramic views over the valley. Descend toward the other side of the Ait Bouguemez Valley and continue to the village of Zaouit-Oualmzi or nearby Ait Ouchi. Walking time: approximately 5 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse at around 2,000 m.
Ait Hkem to Imlaghs via Ifrane
Continue walking through the cultivated fields of the valley and discover its traditional irrigation systems. Meet local farmers working in the fields and pass through the villages of Ifrane and Taghoulite before reaching Imlaghs. This section offers an authentic look at everyday life in the Ait Bouguemez Valley. Walking time: approximately 4.5 hours. Overnight stay in Imlaghs.
Imlaghs to Marrakech via Sidi Moussa and Imi n’Ifri
After breakfast, climb to the Timit hill to visit the collective granary and marabout of Sidi Moussa at approximately 2,008 m. Although the ascent is steep, the summit offers impressive panoramic views across the valley. Afterwards, return toward Marrakech, stopping at the natural bridge of Imi n’Ifri for lunch before continuing to the city. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. End of services.
