Marrakech to Tafenfant via Azilal and Ait Bouguemez

Depart Marrakech toward the Central High Atlas Mountains. Pass through Azilal, known as a gateway to the Atlas, before continuing along mountain roads toward the Ait Bouguemez Valley. Meet the muleteers and cook before beginning the trek toward the Tafenfant Plateau at approximately 2,400 m. Walking time: approximately 2.5 hours. Driving time: approximately 5 hours. Ascent: +600 m. Overnight in tents.

Tafenfant to Rougelt

Continue through wild high-mountain landscapes before beginning a gradual descent toward the isolated village of Rougelt. The route crosses remote terrain and offers beautiful views over the surrounding Central High Atlas. Walking time: approximately 5–6 hours. Descent: approximately -700 to -800 m. Overnight in tents.

Rougelt to Idoughmamen via Tizi N’Rouguelt

Leave Rougelt and trek toward Idoughmamen, crossing the Tizi N’Rouguelt Pass through remote transhumance landscapes. The climb toward the pass is demanding and rewards hikers with impressive panoramic views before descending toward the bivouac area. Walking time: approximately 6–7 hours. Ascent: approximately +800 m. Descent: approximately -600 m. Difficulty: challenging. Overnight in tents.

Idoughmamen to Tarkedit via Assedrem

Continue toward the Mount M’Goun massif on one of the most spectacular alpine stages of the trek. Cross the dramatic Assedrem ridges before reaching the famous Tarkedit Plateau at approximately 2,900 m, a traditional base area for hikers exploring the M’Goun region. Walking time: approximately 6–7 hours. Ascent: approximately +600 m. Difficulty: challenging due to altitude and rocky terrain. Overnight in tents.

Tarkedit to Azib Ikkis via Aghouri Pass

After breakfast, leave the Tarkedit Plateau and climb toward the Aghouri Pass at approximately 3,400 m. Enjoy panoramic views of the Mount M’Goun massif and its 4,068-meter summit before descending toward the peaceful grazing areas of Azib Ikkis. Depending on time and group preference, an optional walk can be made toward the Arous gorges and small waterfalls. Walking time: approximately 5–6 hours. Maximum altitude: approximately 3,400 m. Overnight in a gîte at Azib Ikkis or in a bivouac according to the program.

Azib Ikkis to Marrakech via Arous Village

After breakfast, load the luggage onto the mules and begin the final walk toward Arous village. Meet the minibus after approximately 2 hours of hiking and return to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. A picnic lunch is included along the way. Walking time: approximately 2 hours. Driving time: approximately 5 hours. End of services.
