Your 8-Day Morocco Itinerary
Arrival in Marrakech
Arrival and welcome at Marrakech Airport, followed by a transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short city visit or free time to relax before the trekking adventure begins.
Marrakech to Ait Youl via Tizi n’Tichka Pass
Depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) toward the village of Ait Youl. Meet the muleteer team upon arrival and settle into a traditional guesthouse for the night.
Ait Youl to Ighrem Aqdim
Begin the trek by following the valley and river toward the M’Goun Gorges. Pass through several traditional Berber villages and meet local inhabitants traveling on foot or by mule. Walking time: approximately 5 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Ighrem Aqdim to Alemdoun
Continue along a mule trail with beautiful views over the Ait Mraou Valley. Discover a colorful mountain landscape of red, ochre, green and grey tones while passing local villages and meeting residents along the way. Walking time: approximately 5 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Alemdoun to Bou-Taghrar via Assif El-Qati Gorges
Explore the small gorges of Assif El-Qati, known for their beautiful oleanders, before continuing through fields of roses, almond trees and walnut groves. Walking time: approximately 5 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Bou-Taghrar to Taberkhacht
Follow the M’Goun River through colorful mountain landscapes and into the heart of the Rose Valley. Discover gardens, kasbahs and picturesque villages with traditional adobe architecture along the way. Walking time: approximately 5 hours. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Taberkhacht to Marrakech via Ouarzazate
Leave the Rose Valley and return to Marrakech by road via Ouarzazate and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech and spend the night at your hotel.
Departure from Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech Airport according to your departure time. Your 8-day Rose Valley trekking adventure comes to an end. End of services.
