Arrival in Marrakech
Meet your driver at Marrakech Airport and transfer to your Riad in the Medina. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy free time to explore Jemaa el-Fna Square and the surrounding old city. Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech.
Marrakech to Azib Ikiss via Azilal and Ait Bouguemez
After breakfast, leave Marrakech and begin your Mount M’Goun trekking adventure. Travel through Azilal toward the beautiful Ait Bouguemez Valley before meeting the local trekking team. Continue toward Azib Ikiss at approximately 2,300 m, where the first mountain camp is established near a natural spring. Overnight in bivouac.
Azib Ikiss to Tarkedit via Aghouri Pass
Trek through the wild landscapes of the High Atlas before crossing the Aghouri Pass at approximately 3,400 m. After a picnic break, descend gradually along nomadic trails toward Tarkedit, surrounded by streams and alpine meadows. Overnight in tents. Ascent: +1,150 m. Descent: -500 m.
Tarkedit to Oulilimte via Mount M’Goun Summit
Begin the most demanding and rewarding day of the trek with an attempt to reach the summit of Mount M’Goun at approximately 4,068 m. From the summit, enjoy extraordinary panoramic views across the High Atlas and toward the Sahara. Descend through the Oumssoud Valley and follow the Assif M’Goun toward Oulilimte. Overnight in tents. Ascent: +1,200 m. Descent: -1,500 m.
Oulilimte to Ain Aflal
After breakfast, trek through a wide mountain valley surrounded by impressive peaks and fascinating rock formations. Follow a crystal-clear stream before reaching a peaceful riverside camp. Overnight in tents. Descent: approximately -300 m.
Ain Aflal to Imi n’Irkt
Walk through irrigated fields and traditional Berber villages before descending along old mountain paths. Discover mud-brick houses and villages that preserve the traditional lifestyle of the High Atlas. Overnight in tents. Descent: approximately -300 m.
Imi n’Irkt to Tighanimine
Continue through an impressive gorge where the valley gradually narrows between steep rock walls. Follow the riverbed through the dramatic mountain scenery before reaching the next camp. Overnight in tents. Elevation: approximately -400 m.
Tighanimine to Boutghrar
Follow a scenic trail beside the river, surrounded by fig trees, oleander bushes and fertile landscapes. After lunch, the scenery gradually transforms as you enter the Rose Valley. Arrive in Boutghrar for an overnight stay in a traditional guesthouse. Elevation: approximately -100 m.
Boutghrar to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou
Say goodbye to the trekking team and begin the journey back to Marrakech. Travel toward Ait Ben Haddou, where a lunch stop is scheduled, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at approximately 2,260 m. Arrive in Marrakech and spend the night in a Riad in the Medina.
Marrakech Guided Tour
After breakfast, discover Marrakech with a local guide. Visit highlights including the Koutoubia Mosque area, Jemaa el-Fna Square, the colorful souks, Ben Youssef Madrasa and Bahia Palace. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure before an overnight stay in Marrakech.
Departure from Marrakech
After breakfast, transfer to Marrakech Airport according to your flight schedule. End of services.
